THE ENGAGEMENT

A problem worth solving — and a change worth making stick.

The network had invested in new facilities and specialists, but patients still experienced long waits and inconsistent scheduling across sites.

01

The challenge

Added capacity was not translating into better access, because scheduling, referral and staffing decisions were made site by site with no shared operating logic.

02

What we did

We redesigned patient flow and scheduling as a network-level operating model, clarified decision rights between site and network leadership, and built the capability of operations managers to run the new model day to day.

03

Outcome & impact

Sites began operating on a common scheduling and referral logic, network leadership gained a real-time view of access across the system, and frontline managers took ownership of patient flow rather than escalating it upward. Metrics are withheld at the client’s request.
